As part of the promotional campaign for his newly released album, Harverd Dropout, Lil Pump announced he had been tapped to give the 2019 commencement speech at Harvard University.

Naturally, many people dismissed Pump's claim as complete BS, but a Warner Bros. press released led many to believe the news was legit: "[...] the multi-platinum selling modern icon and history-making teenage superstar will deliver the 2019 commencement speech at Harvard University," the presser read in part. "[...] Harvard University handpicked Pump to be its 'youngest commencement speaker in history.' This serves as a testament to his undeniable influence on the current generation."

Well, it turned out Pump and his record label had provided misleading information. Harvard later confirmed German Chancellor Angela Merkel would deliver school's 2019 commencement address and not the "Gucci Gang" rapper. It was later clarified that Pump would stop by the university for a special event hosted by WHRB Harvard Radio

The "Lil Pump Herverd Takeover" went down Thursday night at the WHRB studio, where Pump delivered an unofficial commencement address and answered questions from Harvard students.

You can check out his speech in the video above, and clips from the event below.
