Excuse the corniness, but The Internet is on a roll.
At the end of April, the L.A.-based group delivered an infectious single called āRoll (Burbank Funk)āātheir first official release since 2015ās Grammy-nominated album, Ego Death. The song was also accompanied by a Joel Weil-directed video that included cameos by Tyler, the Creator, Thundercat, Dev Hynes, and more. It was like Christmas for The Internet fans whoāve been patiently awaiting the groupās triumphant return.
Shortly after The Internet dropped āRoll,ā the group announced the song's Kaytranada-assisted remix would arrive āVERY soon.ā And they werenāt kidding. The updated version hit streaming services Thursday night, just two weeks after the original debuted.
This isn't the first time The Internet members have joined forces with the Montreal-based producer. They've also collaborated on tracks like āGirl,ā as well as āYou're The Oneā featuring The Internetās lead signer Syd.
You can listen to the remix on Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify. Let's hope this is our first taste of an upcoming full-length project.
