Zhavia "Candlelight" Remix f/ Jeremih

2018 was a big year for up-and-coming singer Zhavia.

After becoming a finalist on the reality competition show The Four: Battle for Stardom, Zhavia inked a deal with Columbia Records, collaborated with Diplo and Lil Pump for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, and delivered a handful of solo singles.

On Thursday, the singer-songwriter returned with the Jeremih-assisted remix for “Candlelight,” a Cody Tarpley-produced track she released last summer.

“What inspired this song for me was a really hard time I went through in my life where I was very depressed,” Zhavia told Genius. She went into further detail: “It was the first time in my life where I was like questioning if I would make it as a singer. Because I feel like it’s very important to believe in yourself before anything else because if you don’t, it’s not gonna happen.”
