Gunna has put Freddie Gibbs on notice.
On Wednesday afternoon, the YSL rapper took to Twitter to tease his upcoming project while throwing some more shade at his foe: “When my album drop, Freddie Gibbs will the biggest moment of his career [sic],” he wrote.
Gibbs responded to the message by sarcastically expressing gratitude and mocking Gunna’s grammar.
Shortly after Gunna’s initial tweet, Akademiks shared a video of the ATL artist playing a snippet of an unreleased track. The clip shows Gunna sitting in his car, while jamming out to the line, “I can’t fuck with Freddie Gibbs.” It’s unclear if the cut will land on Gunna’s forthcoming Drip Season 4 album.
Gibbs, who is also set to release his SSS album, was clearly unimpressed.

The Gunna vs. Gibbs beef made headlines back in May 2020, after the latter was accused of taking subliminal shots at the former. It all started when Gibbs tweeted, “If u was on crime stoppers TV u a snitch. Ain’t no way around it.” Though he didn’t mention anyone by name, fans were convinced the comment was referencing Gunna, who appeared in an old news segment about his cousin’s murder case.
Gunna addressed the viral footage during a 2020 interview on The Breakfast Club, where he denied the “snitching” allegations.
“I don’t know what the fuck that’s about. Crime stopper, what? I ain’t never stopped a crime. Never ...” he said. “Yes, that’s me, but that wasn’t on no crime stopper. I don’t know what the hell n***as are [saying], ’cause I wasn’t in no case or nothing. … ‘Oh you snitched on who?’ I was never in no case. See what I’m saying? But you know, n***as, it be—that go back to that internet shit, I don’t really be seeing into it ’cause motherfuckers don’t know. I’m really from the street. Where I’m from like, if you snitch, bruh, that shit is in paperwork, that shit is in a document.”
Gunna’s Drip Season 4 album is set to arrive this Friday with guest appearances by Drake, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and more.
