Doja Cat 'Hot Pink'

When it came to recording her Hot Pink album, Doja Cat took a different—much more clear-headed—approach.

"My last album was me super high all the time," the 24-year-old admitted in a Los Angeles Times interview. "When I stopped and did this album, I’ve never been more concise and clear and levelheaded. People will love me and hate me for it: 'Why doesn’t she sound like she doesn’t know what she’s talking about anymore?' I used to write stuff where it didn’t matter. Now there are things I believe in, that get me excited and piss me off. I’m actually reflecting on who I am as a person."

I’m VERY excited to announce the release of my sophomore album “HOT PINK” will be on NOVEMBER 7th 💕🥵THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone involved. My heart is fuckin pounding and I know a lot of these song titles aren’t ones you guys are already familiar with. #HOTPINK pic.twitter.com/Fcv80F77HG

But make no mistake, Hot Pink still delivers everything fans love about Doja Cat: catchy beats, sex-positive messages, and a hefty dose of humor. The project—which follows her 2018 debut album Amala—spans 12 tracks, and includes guest appearances by Gucci Mane ("Like That"), Smino ("Bite"), and Tyga ("Juicy" remix).

You can stream Hot Pink now on all major platforms.

Doja Cat also dropped a video for the album opener, "Cyber Sex":
