We have a release date for Cam’ron’s long-awaited mixtape.

The Harlem rapper announced The Programwill arrive next week (November 11), about six months after its originally scheduled drop date. Cam shared the news on social media Saturday with a preview of an untitled track that samples Bill Withers' "Lean On Me."

The Program is expected to precede Cam’s seventh studio album Killa Season 2. His last full-length album was 2009’s Crime Pays; however, he has shared a number of tapes and EPs in the years since, including the 2013 Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1 tape and the 2015 Contraband EP with Berner.

Cam spoke about his rap career, which has been fairly quiet recently, in a recent XXL magazine cover story. He explained his approach to music and how he considers more of a pleasurable pastime at this stage of his career.

“Hip-hop isn’t my main source of income at this point. I just do hip-hop because I love it,” he explained, before revealing a timeline for his next album. “[…] I do like three, four shows a week. I still go out. I have an album I have to turn in this year, my lawyer just told. I didn’t realize I had to turn in an album this year before December.”

So, if all goes as planned, Killa Season 2 will arrive very soon.

The Program, arriving November 11, is expected to include the Vanessa Carlton-sampling track, “10,000 Miles,” which Cam released back in March.

The rapper will also kick off the mixtape’s supporting tour November 17 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The tour will include stops in Dallas, St. Louis, and Portland, before wrapping up December 22 in NYC.
