New Zealand duo Broods have released their third studio album Don't Feed the Pop Monster, their first full-length release since 2016's Conscious.

The effort spans 12 tracks and includes production by Big Taste, Tommy English, and Jack & Coke. Brood members Caleb and Georgia Nott approached the album with the intention to deliver something both personal and authentic.

"Our goal was to make songs that are true to us, without hiding behind any kind of façade," Georgia said in a statement. "We worked really hard and went through a thousand different emotions in the process. The fact that we can feel so many different emotions and still make something that's so true to us—to me that's the most important part of this whole experience and we’re so excited to finally share this album with the world."

Along with the album's release, Broods dropped off their "Too Proud" music video directed by Malia James. The visual centers on a man who is quietly strugging with depression.
