Wiz Khalifa rang in 2023 by performing at Disneyland for the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve broadcast. Hours later, the rapper ruined a $10,000 suit he was wearing by falling into a swimming pool.

Wiz took to Twitter on Sunday to poke fun at the incident, which appears to have been an accident. “I tripped and fell in the pool in my 10 Thousand Dollar suit so y’all can take me back to last year cause this ain’t it.”

“New year same me,” Khalifa added.

Leading up to New Year’s Eve, Wiz dropped his latest single “Never Drinking Again,” which details the Pittsburgh rapper’s plan to give up alcohol for the foreseeable future.

“Just in time for New Years,” Wiz teased the track in an Instagram post. “Enjoy your festivities drink responsibly and tag me when you use this sound in your video the day after #neverdrinkingagain.”

The song marked the first new material from Wiz since he released his seventh studio album, Multiverse, in July. The LP came on the heels of Full Court Press, Khalifa’s collaborative project with Girl Talk, Smoke DZA and Big K.R.I.T., as well as his joint project with Juicy J, Stoner’s Night.
