Trick Daddy appeared on a recent episode of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s podcast Drink Champs, where he discussed doing a potential Verzuz battle with Boosie Badazz.

When asked by N.O.R.E. if he would be open to participating in the series, the legendary Miami rapper said that he already turned down an offer to go head-to-head with the Baton Rogue native.

“They wanted me to do a Verzuz with Boosie and I was like, ‘Nah.’ Like Boosie, that’s my dog,” Trick Daddy explained. “And everybody was like, ‘It’s good for Hip Hop.’ But if I do you in Verzuz, I’m gonna smash your ass. I’m not ‘gon come out there playing because you not ‘gon play with me. And plus Billboard and all the other magazines, they gonna chart the shit. They gonna rate a winner and a loser.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Trick revealed that he attended Rolling Loud Miami in July where DaBaby made several homophobic and misogynistic comments. When discussing DaBaby’s remarks and subsequent apologies, Trick maintained that he believes the North Carolina rapper didn’t intend to offend anyone during his rant.

“There’s a difference between me saying something that offends you and me saying something to offend you,” he said. “And the worst things for me and other street dudes is it’s hard for us to apologize. It’s hard for us to explain.”
