Ahead of the release of her third studio album Pillow Talk, Tink returns with the new music video and single “Goofy.”
The track follows the Chicago rapper/singer’s 2 Chainz-featuring “Cater.” Both tracks are expected to appear on Pillow Talk, due out Aug. 19.
“Filming the video was a dope experience,” Tink said about her latest song. “I shot it in my hometown, Chicago. And my main goal was to keep it all the way 100. In the video, you’ll see me going through some real shit. Being cheated on, being left at the doctor’s office pregnant and alone…it’s just very real and raw. The video is a peek into what many of us go through in our relationships...that’s why I love it so much. It’s honest.”
Pillow Talk will mark Tink’s first full-length project since her sophomore album, 2021’s Heat of the Moment. In a press release, Tink revealed the record is executive produced by the prolific Hitmaka, who’s worked with R&B superstars such as Chris Brown and Ty Dolla Sign.
“Many of these songs were written solely by me, I’m still pushing my pen,” she shared. “Hitmaka and I put a lot into this. This album indeed feels like you are laying in your bed talking to your guy or girl. It’s a very sexy, soft mood.”
