Just a month after the release of his latest single “4U,” superproducer-meets-rapper Pi’erre Bourne returns with the new song “Groceries,” as well as its accompanying music video.

“Groceries” is the latest example of Pi’erre saving some of his best beats for himself, as the 27-year-old South Carolina native’s sticky vocals sink into the dreamy production. The visual, directed by Jay Cloud, sees Pi’erre deliver a steady flow of bars while he and his crew ransack a grocery store.

The track, along with “4U,” is expected to appear on his forthcoming album, The Life Of Pi’erre 5. The full-length project, which Pi’erre first teased in April on Twitter, will serve as the official follow-up to his 2019 tape, The Life of Pi’erre 4, which re-released with a 15-track deluxe edition last summer.

While prepping TLOP 5, Pi’erre has stayed busy producing songs for some of rap’s biggest stars, including Juice Wrld and Young Thug (“Bad Boy”), Playboi Carti (“Place”), Gunna (“One Watch”), Drake (“Pain 1993”), and Lil Uzi Vert (“Bean (Kobe)”).

“Groceries” arrives just two weeks after Pi’erre headlined Genius Live’s latest virtual concert, where he performed a set of songs including new material from his forthcoming album.
