Most fans were introduced to Pi’erre Bourne through his production on songs like Playboi Carti’s 2017 hit “Magnolia,” which made him a household name thanks to his iconic producer tag (“Yo Pi’erre, you wanna come out here?”). But as far back as 2016, the superproducer has been crafting his own classic mixtape series, The Life of Pi’erre

While he finishes prepping the series’ latest installment, The Life of Pi’erre 5, the 27-year-old producer gave fans a taste of the project Friday with his new single “4U.” The track is accompanied by a music video, which sees Pi’erre sauntering around New York City while delivering an introspective verse.

The music video arrives a day after Pi’erre posted an official teaser for TLOP 5 on Instagram. The project will serve as the official follow-up to his 2019 tape, The Life of Pi’erre 4, which re-released with a 15-track deluxe edition last summer.

While both TLOP 4 and its deluxe version didn’t host any features at all, Pi’erre has teased that Drake will show up on the latest installment. It would be the second collaboration between the two artists, following last year’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes cut “Pain 1993.”
