Lil Uzi Vert has reached a settlement in a lawsuit over “Strawberry Peels,” the Young Thug and Gunna-featured track from the Philly rapper’s 2020 album LUV Vs. The World 2.

As reported by AllHipHop, Sun City Publishing filed a lawsuit in January against Uzi, Thug, Gunna, and producer Wheezy for sampling Blackout’s 1995 single, “Dim Da Lights.” Labels Atlantic Records and Generation Now were also named in the lawsuit.

Sun City Publishing, which was seeking $1 million in damages, has since reached a settlement with the aforementioned group. The amount of said settlement has not yet been made public.

“Plaintiff Sun City Publishing, LLC, and defendants Atlantic Recording Corporation, erroneously sued as Atlantic Records LLC and Generation Now, LLC, submit this Joint Notice to advise the Court that they have reached an agreement in principle for the resolution of this action, in its entirety, and that they anticipate filing within thirty days their Stipulation to the dismissal of this action,” both sides said in an official statement.

Uzi dropped LUV Vs. The World 2 back in March 2020, just a week after releasing his latest full-length offering Eternal Atake. The project doubles as a deluxe version of Eternal Atake, with 14 new tracks that featured new guest appearances from Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Future, Thug, Gunna, Lil Durk, Young Nudy, and Nav.
