Rap A Lot founder J. Prince is shutting down rumors that he was arrested for threatening Offset.
During a recent Clubhouse session, Wack 100 claimed the Rap A Lot founder had “been arrested,” which prompted HotNewHipHop, among other outlets, to post a report on the topic. From there, DJ Akademiks reposted the article, leading to Offset chiming in to deny the rumor. “Pussy wtf is this cap ass shit,” the Migos member commented on the post.
Hours later, J. Prince hopped on Instagram to respond to the gossip.
“Ah man, what has this shit come down to in the world today?” Prince began. “I can’t believe people play with people[‘s] intelligence — the way they play with people intelligence and intellect. You know, the way they do today, people are telling lies for a living. You know what I mean? They actually lying to y’all for a living. But as you can see, live and in living color, this is what my jail cell look like.”
Prince and Offset have been exchanging words since February, when the former spoke about Takeoff’s death during an appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game. After sharing kind words about Quavo (“There’s love here”), Prince turned his attention to “this Offset dude” during the final minutes of the interview.
“They be throwing rocks and hiding they hand, and I don’t like them kind of individuals,” Prince said. “And the truth of the matter is, one can dance and different things in front of different cameras and all that kind of shit. In reality, the truth of the matter is you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive, you know what I mean? So for you to be taking these positions that you’ve taken—and I’ve got people everywhere so I hear all kinds of things—I’mma just say this to you. Don’t ever put me in no position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t be healthy for you. I have to say that.”
After catching wind of Prince’s comments, Offset took to social media to issue a response.
“How dare one of y’all n***as even speak on me and Take’s relationship?” he said. “ I don’t know you n***as from a can of paint, n***a. Y’all n***as don’t know how me and my brother rocked.”
