While chatting with TMZ over the weekend, Beanie Sigel revealed he’s no longer interested in being compensated for coming up with Kanye West’s “Yeezy” nickname.

On a recent episode of Drink ChampsKanye admitted that he owed his fellow Roc-A-Fella alum a check for creating the famous moniker. “I still owe Beanie money and I’ve been trying to give him this money for a minute,” he said. “I’m like, ‘This man made up the name.’”

A few days later, during a club appearance in his hometown of Philadelphia, Sigel told onlookers that Kanye had already reached out to him regarding compensation. “I got a phone call from the muthafucka the other day,” the Philly rapper said. “He said Sig gon’ get $50 million and a five percent stock in Yeezy. And I don’t know if n***as know, Yeezys did $1.7 billion last year.”

But Beans walked back his previous comments, telling the outlet he’d rather capitalize on Kanye’s business acumen than receive any amount of money for coming up with the iconic “Yeezy” nickname.

“I did name him that, but as far as his business mind and where he took it, Kanye worked hard for this,” he said. “Kanye don’t owe me nothing. I don’t know if I would take a number. Because you give somebody a fish today, he gon’ eat for the day. If you teach somebody how to fish, he’s gon’ eat forever. He’s gon’ teach his family how to fish.”

Sigel continued, “I’m not even thinking about a number, but I would love to do some business where I can earn some money ’cause I’m an earner. I never was the type to take just for a handout. My mind is sorta like Kanye’s mind… I think outside the box. I’ve got a lot of business ventures that I think if me and Kanye were to sit down and I had that opportunity to present it to him, it’s some money on the table that I can earn.”

Beans went on to say he’s not willing to let any amount of money come between their relationship.

“It’s all love, bro,” Sigel explained. “Whatever you got on the table, man, let’s sit down, let’s talk. It ain’t a dollar amount that’s on our relationship, ain’t nothing that I’ve done that I wouldn’t do it again, bro. You don’t owe me nothing but love, bro. But let’s get to some money, let’s get to some music, let’s get to some fashion, let’s get to some movies. We can do all that, and the rest will fall in place.”
