Premiere: Ryan Trey Recruits Babyface Ray for "Only Us" Video

St. Louis rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter Ryan Trey has teamed up with the always reliable Babyface Ray for his new “Only Us” video.

St. Louis rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter Ryan Trey has teamed up with Babyface Ray for his new “Only Us” music video, premiering above.

The Mac Grant-directed visual for the lovelorn track is suitably flashy, combining high-definition footage with grainy film and a lo-fi look. Going for a more performance-focused approach, the video features the two artists delivering their verses in front of a dilapidated porch with friends in tow.

“I’m a big fan of Babyface Ray so it was really dope to me that we were able to come together and make this record,” Trey told Complex of the collaboration. “Me being from St. Louis and him being from Detroit it was a great collab for some Midwest youngins. It’s like our version of a Midwest love song lol. How we talk to girls out there—straight, direct, and to the point. No games.”

“Only Us” is Ryan’s first new material since he dropped his project A 64 East Saga last year, which featured an appearance from Bryson Tiller. Alongside his own production contributions, he was also joined by the likes of Boi-1da, Vinylz, Jhaan Sweet, and OG Parker, among others.
