Offset has voluntarily dropped his lawsuit against Migos' record label Quality Control.

TMZ reports that Offset has potentially reached an agreement with the company, which he accused of claiming ownership of his solo music. Legal documents show that the lengthy legal battle that Offset launched against the label last August has come to an end, with a source close to the rapper adding that the disputes and differences have since been settled although he won't be returning to the label's roster. It's unclear if an agreed-upon monetary settlement was reached or not.

In the suit, Offset accused the Atlanta-based label of ignoring a deal he negotiated with them in January 2021 pertaining to his solo career. While Offset released his 2019 solo debut Father of 4 through QC, he's since been releasing solo material through Motown Records via Universal Music Group. He asserted that QC attempted to claim ownership of his more recent material, starting with the Baby Keem-produced single "5 4 3 2 1," in a "hostile" manner.

QC denied the claims. “The last lawsuit was filed publicly and dismissed quietly,” wrote the label's CEO Pierre "P" Thomas in a since-deleted tweet. “Let’s see how this one go. Been to real for all this lame shit. Everyone know the real problem.” Offset, meanwhile, replied, "N****s act like im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back," he wrote. "N***a you black balled me I ain’t said Shìt one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?"

Recently, Offset opened up about why he cheated on his wife Cardi B, and how they were able to patch things up.

"I was young, I had just got married, I'm getting a lot of money. Really, it was communication. We got married, and then we ain't really—our communication was good, but...I wasn't saying my wants and needs, and vice versa," he told Angela Yee. "Sometimes you feel like you'll bump heads when you not communicating. ... We both in the front, center stage, all our business is always public." At the time, he was also "making bad decisions" and was using lean.
