Shortly after sharing her breakup track "Valentine's Day (Shameful)," Kehlani has dropped the emotional new song "Toxic," alongside a music video she shot herself while in self-quarantine. Produced by G. Ry and KBeaZy, the song sees her reflecting on her behavior as well as what she herself has been subjected to.

No word yet on whether "Toxic" will appear on a full-length project later down the line, but it's clear Kehlani has been eager to share music with her fans as of late.

Responding to fans on Twitter, she addressed concerns over the title of the track. "The title and cover are horrible timing but this was in the works for a while so y'all gon have to work with me here," she insisted. In another tweet, she revealed that she freestyled most of the lyrics, too.

Prior to the release of "Toxic," Kehlani dropped the song "Valentine's Day (Shame)," which seemingly saw her address the end of her relationship with YG. In a since-deleted tweet, she wrote, "Shit happens. Life really happens. U just gotta stay pure and move with love and thank god you are one of the ones that do."
