Justin Bieber, fresh off the release of his album Changes, has postponed his entire 2020 tour over COVID-19 concerns.
In a statement sent to Complex, Bieber's team said, "In light of the current public health crisis, and with the deepest concern for all those being affected, Justin Bieber will be postponing all currently scheduled 2020 dates for The Changes Tour."
The kickoff was previously set for May 14 with a show in Seattle, Washington, and the run was set to wrap with a Sept. 26 show in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
"While Justina—long with his band, dancers and crew—has been hard at work preparing an amazing show, he has always put the health and well-being of his fans first and foremost," the statement continues. "Justin is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get back out on the road and perform in a space that is safe for everyone. He asks that his fans hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored as soon as the dates are rescheduled. Information on rescheduled dates will be forthcoming soon."
Earlier this month, Bieber downsized the Changes Tour due to "unforeseen circumstances." Sources close to the situation said the decision to swap the venues of certain shows was "hard," but it was only done to shows in soft markets in which the tickets went on sale just before the coronavirus outbreak hit the United States.
