J. Cole's manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad has shut down rumors and speculation that a new album from the Dreamville head is on the way soon.

"Just to clarify, there is no Cole album coming out soon and there is no Cole interview coming up," he tweeted Wednesday. "Y'all be taking these IG live jokes people make too far lol. Usually I would of let y'all rock with the rumors but people been hitting my phone too much about this." He also tweeted at XXL to clarify where the rumors came from after the publication reported Cole has a new project out shortly.

"Y'all really took an Olu joke on Live and turned it into a whole headline lol I love that," he added.

The rumors started to take off after Olu, one half of Dreamville duo EarthGang, made a joke about Cole dropping an album on an Instagram Live stream. He said "Cole album is coming," and later remarked that it had been delayed, "'Cause you know, corona."

Needless to say, fans were pumped about the possibility of new J. Cole music on the way, but it would appear there's no record from him coming just yet.
