Earlier this month, Ciara made her long-awaited return with her new single "Level Up." The song, which directly references her controversial #LevelUp tweet about her marriage, has now gotten another push thanks to a remix from some familiar names.
Linking up with the same team she worked with on "Lose Control" off Missy Elliott's 2005 album The Cookbook, Ciara has recruited Missy and Fatman Scoop for the "Level Up" remix. With her new social media dance challenge now in effect, Ciara is looking to make "Level Up" one of summer's next hits.
The title of "Level Up" refers to a tweet she made regarding her marriage to Russel Wilson following her engagement with ex-boyfriend Future, an engagement which she called off following reports that Future had been unfaithful. The two have one child together, Future Zahir Wilburn.
After signing to Warner Bros. Records back in early 2017, it became clear Ciara was working on releasing some new music. With an album expected to drop later this year, Ciara's set to deliver to her fans big time with a well-deserved comeback following 2015's stripped-back Jackie.
