Featuring “Acid in My Blood” and “Ganzfeld Experiment” alongside their respective instrumental versions, the hypnotic pair of tracks highlight Tres’ distinctive approach to both hip-hop and dance music. Featuring simple and often repetitive refrains over slick production, both songs were produced with Godmode’s Nick Sylvester. As with his previous releases, Acid / Ganzfeld works just as well for headphone listeners as it does the dancefloor. It’s also equal parts west coast rap, and the defining house music of the midwest.

Earlier this year, Tres shared an impromptu beat tape entitled Refresh. Featuring previously unheard production from the L.A. native, Tres said he was inspired to put out the project after he made a bunch of beats during downtime on tour. “Hope ya create something while listening,” he wrote upon releasing the project.

Prior to that, Tres built his name on a number of high-profile collaborators that saw different rappers and singers brought into his distinctive sound. He’s work with the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Robyn, Tinashe, and Ty Dolla Sign among others.
