Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have gone a different route with the surrogate mother for their fourth child. According to TMZ, they hired a different woman than the one who carried their third baby, Chicago.
The reasoning is simple. Per the website, Kanye and Kim chose someone different because their last surrogate was already pregnant with a child of her own. Chicago's surrogate gave birth to a new daughter on Christmas Eve, so the couple had to look elsewhere.
The couple's second child with a surrogate is due in May. According to People's sources, the couple have had their eye on having another child since Chicago was born. “Kim and Kanye were already talking about baby No. 4 when Chicago was just a couple of days old," they said. "And they absolutely would use the surrogate again. They love her."
Kim seemed on the fence at the time, saying Kanye wanted to have seven children but she worried about bringing more kids into the world. “Kanye wants to have more, though. He’s been harassing me,” she said on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. "He wants like seven. ... I’ve been kind of hesitant about having more kids just because it literally keeps me up at night, thinking about how my kids will survive in a crazy world like this."
Clearly she's since changed her mind as they're reportedly expecting a boy in the spring.
