After a number of promising singles including "Mr. Officer" and "Satish," Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley has dropped his first project of the year with The Smartest. Featuring his signature rapid-fire flow, the newly released mixtape, which he only just announced this week, sees him at his most direct.

With features from the likes of Big Sean, Meek Mill, Lil Keed, Queen Naija, and Lil Baby, The Smartest sees Grizzley joining forces with collaborators both new and old. On the production side of things, Hit-Boy, DJ Mustard, Avedon, Helluva, and Scott Storch were among those to contribute beats.

Upon releasing the tape, Grizzley wrote on Instagram, "I never wanted to be famous I just wanted to be effective." Last year the rapper dropped his second studio album Scriptures, which included the singles "God's Warrior," "Locked Up," and "Sweet Things."
