Big Sean, reflecting on the end of the year and of an entire era, has thanked fans for changing his life.

In an Instagram letter shared overnight, Sean looked back on his 2010s accomplishments and spoke apologetically on not being more prolific in recent years.

"Thank u for a decade that changed my life," Sean said. "Through the the ups n downs I managed to do the impossible where I’m from [and] became one of the top selling hip hop artists of the decade, 52 million records sold [and]counting, ain’t even dropped no project in the last couple years. Like I said on my 1st album 'Never made da crowds fans, I made them all fam.' [And] I apologize for the distance n lack of communication but life is life. 2020 we back goin hard tho, fuck all dat otha shit."

Sean released the tracks "Bezerk," "Single Again," and "Overtime" in 2019. The trio of songs are in promotion of presumed new album Don Life, due at some point this year. His most recent solo album, I Decided, arrived to critical acclaim back in February of 2017.

Last month, Sean was among the artists to make a special appearance on Ariana Grande's surprise-released live album k bye for now (swt live).
