Building on the rock solid foundations laid by his first two EPs — this year's Warmonger and last year's split EP with Razzler Man, Marcus Nasty Presents: Tribal Brothers — veteran UK funky producer LR Groove is back with another intense club cut, "Life Form" with Czech producer Dryman, their contribution to the latest 1Forty compilation, 1FFNG004.

The storm they've brewed up together is an overwhelming avalanche of chunky bass lines, galloping drums and some ominous, grimey horns. With the rest of the EP — which also features efforts from Logan, Murder He Wrote, Razor, Hamdi, Retrospect, Higgo — dropping December 16, here's some last minute ammunition to get your Christmas party jumping.

Speaking with Complex via email, LR Groove told us: "I've been in contact with Dryman since about 2011 but the collab didn't actually come around until this year. He booked me over in Czech Republic and after chatting before hand we thought it would be good to do a tune ready for the show. Its a solid representation of 2 signature sounds coming together bringing my tribal influence together with Drymans bass sound. 1Forty was our first choice for it due to the nature of the Funky they release. The output is so diverse yet still always levels."
