Ahead of the release of his highly-anticipated new single "Highest in the Room," Travis Scott stopped by Apple Music's Beats 1 to talk about releasing more music soon.

"I’m glad I’m able to get to this point right now. I’ve been ready to drop this shit forever," La Flame told Zane Lowe of the track. "I’m at the point where I’m just trying to cook up some dope shit and drop 'Highest in the Room,' and maybe put something around it. I mean, shit, I’m in no rush frankly but I’m taking my time to come up with the next album. But I’m always down to drop music and serve some packs to the fans. It’s time for the fans to eat."

On his second edition of Astroworld Festivalin Houston, which is happening on Nov. 9 at NRG Park, he says to expect some surprises for the lineup as the date comes closer. But he did tease Pharrell showing up to perform some classics.

"The festival is basically, I might release a couple more thousand tickets but a lot of it just flew in the first day it was so crazy," he says. "I’m just so excited for this shit and I’m definitely putting a lot more energy into it this year. You gotta think about it like this I always put together the illest group of people to come forward. Something like I did last year I just want to wait until the festival’s pulling up to announce the headliners. I’ll say we'll for sure have Skateboard in the building kicking some of them classic tunes that I grew up listening to my whole fucking life."

He didn't give an indication on when to expect a follow-up to his No. 1 record, Astroworld, but he did let fans know that his .wav radio show will be returning to Beats 1 soon. "We ain't letting that go," he said. "I'm gonna drop bombs on that .wav radio that's for sure coming back." He's previously used the show as an opportunity to debut new music.

Following reports that him and Kylie Jenner were taking a break, Jenner addressed the situation on Twitter to put a rest to rumors. "There was no '2am date with Tyga,'" she said, responding to reports she paid visit to her ex-boyfriend. "Travis and I are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi."

"Highest in the Room" drops at midnight tonight.
