The search comes after an SUV registered to the rapper was involved in a shootout with police. The incident in Compton led to the death of one bystander and one officer being shot during a pursuit. One suspect was captured and another made an escape. YG maintains that he had nothing to do with the shooting and he has not been arrested in connection with the incident.  Unnamed sources told The Blast that the officers in the raid were looking for security footage that would prove whether or not YG had any involvement with the shooting.

"I was nowhere near the scene of this incident, I was in Hollywood recording in the studio all day," he wrote on Twitter. I was there until after midnight on the 4th of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened!"
