Amid artist and fan-shared calls for the release of ASAP Rocky, who was arrested earlier this month in Stockholm after an alleged fight with two men he says were following and harassing him, there have been reports of unsanitary holding conditions as he awaits the possibility of trial.

InFader-spotted comments given to Swedish publication SVT Nyheter, attorney Henrik Olsson Lilja shared an assessment of these conditions based on what has been gleaned from his client.

The article, translated via Google, sees the lawyer noting that there was the smell of "urine in the cell in the arrest," presumably referring to a holding cell. Current conditions, however, are said by the lawyer to have seen Rocky being "treated and treated properly."

As for additional insight, the Google-translated SVT Nyheter article says Henrik Olsson Lilja offered the following:

He has lacked appetite at the beginning when he was arrested but tries to eat to the best of his ability. He was to receive a visit from American staff at an early stage when he was arrested, but understood that staff from the embassy were not allowed to enter. At a later date, some day later, however, he has been visited. If this is a violation of the Vienna Convention, he cannot judge. He does not know any other information in the TMZ article

The attorney is also said to have stated that Rocky "has never talked to" TMZ or any other outlet regarding his arrest circumstances.

At any rate, #FREEROCKY.

Meanwhile, Congressman Adriano Espaillat—U.S. Representative for New York's Thirteenth Congressional District—has joined the call for Rocky's freedom.

"I cannot explain the behavior of the Swedish authorities because if you see the video, you will see clearly what this was, right?' Espaillat said Wednesday. "In fact, the first aggressor was the perpetrator when he threw his headphone at one of ASAP’s supporters or his security. So, I cannot speculate why they're doing this."
