UPDATED 6/28, 11:40 a.m. ET: Nipsey Hussle’s murderer's getaway driver has reportedly received multiple threats on her life. TMZ reports that though her identity has been cloaked and she’s been referred to simply as Witness 1, the woman’s license plate and descriptions of her appearance circulated online just after the shooting. An LAPD detective said during a grand jury hearing that the department deemed it “very important” to protect Witness 1 and potentially hide her somewhere safe. “It's unclear where she is now, or if she accepted the offer for protective custody,” TMZ writes.

As previously reported, the woman has an immunity agreement that prevents her from any charges in Nipsey’s murder.

Additional details about Nipsey Hussle's murder trial have been revealed.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the getaway driver in the case claimed the shooting stemmed from a conversation about snitching. The woman, identified as Witness 1, told a grand jury that Nipsey's alleged murderer Eric Holder had approached the rapper outside the Marathon Clothing Store, where they had gone to pick up food. Witness 1 claims that as she and Holder arrived at the burger joint, they recognized Nipsey and she immediately became "excited."

She said Holder then went into the restaurant to pick up his food, went back outside, and then started speaking to Nipsey for several minutes.

The woman said the conversation took a turn, as she overheard Holder ask Nipsey if he had ever snitched. The rapper dismissed the question, and then allegedly accused Holder of being a rat himself. Holder then returned to the car and then told her to drive around the corner and park.

Per TMZ:

[...] She saw [Holder] pull out a black, semi-automatic handgun. He pulled back the slide and then asked her to go around the block so he could do a drive-by shooting. She says she refused.

Witness 1 claimed that at that point, the suspected shooter exited the vehicle, put on a red shirt, and told her to stay put. Holder then allegedly fired several shots at Nipsey and his crew and then ran back to the car with two guns: the aforementioned semi-automatic handgun and a small revolver.

According to the publication, the witness was testifying under an immunity agreement, which prevents her from being charged in the case.

Nipsey's associate Herman Douglas also spoke in front of a grand jury. Douglas, who was at the Marathon Clothing store at the time of the shooting, claimed he and Nipsey noticed Holder as soon as he pulled up to the street mall at the corner of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw. Herman confirmed Holder and Nipsey had a brief conversation about alleged "snitching"; however, he claimed their chat was non-confrontational. Herman said Nipsey informed Holder about his rumored cooperation with law enforcement, which Holder immediately denied: "Motherfuckers be hating on me," Holder said, according to Herman.

Holder reportedly shook Nipsey's hand before returning to the vehicle.

After a two-day manhunt, law enforcement captured Holder in the Bellflower area. The 29-year-old was charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He has pleaded not guilty.
