In preparation for the release of his studio album Deadstar 2, Smokepurpp appeared on Tim Westwood’s Capital Xtra show and served up a 37-minute freestyle.

Purpp plans on releasing a new tape titled Lost Planet before dropping Deadstar 2. He marked his return on Thursday with the tape’s first single and video, “Remember Me.”

The Miami rapper teased the tape back in March, telling fans it would arrive sometime this month. “I would [be] nothing without you guys,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “LOST PLANET mixtape dropping in April. I will drop the date with the cover this week followed by Deadstar 2.”

On Tuesday, Smokepurpp continued to tease Lost Planet with a video that asked, “Where Is Purpp?” The rapper stressed that the tape would arrive before Deadstar 2, and encouraged fans to flood the comment section if they wanted to hear Lost Planet's first single.

During the interview portion with Westwood, Lil Purpp touched on his relationship with Lil Pump, battle with lean addiction, and working with Travis Scott on his Cactus Jack label.
