New York City is often considered to be the home of hip-hop so it's only right that Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/alt-R&B producer Waylen Roche shares the video for his debut single, "Concrete Crown". Featuring rising rapper Akinyemi, the video's mainly set in the seemingly always eventful NYC subway and the track itself is taken from Roche's as-yet-untitled EP, which is set to be released later this year.

Waylan told Complex over email that "'Concrete Crown' portrays the journey of two artists striving for success and a balance between internal peace and the need to feel plugged into the creative industrial grind that radiates throughout the city. I had the joy of working on the video with my cousin, Travis Libin, a videographer who's made music videos for the likes of Princess Nokia, Young Dolph, The Lemon Twigs and Justin Timberlake, as well as Kareem Woods, an inspiring dancer whose freeform expressive movement and stylistic aesthetic truly captures the essence of the track."
