Katy Pery is now the latest artist/brand to be accused of promoting blackface as her two of her latest show designs bare similarities to the racist imagery.

According to TMZ, Katy Perry's clothing brand has come under fire for their "Rue Face Slip-On Loafers" and the "Ora Face Block Heel Sandal" which bare protruding facial features that toe too closely to "Blackface."

Although a source tells TMZ that the shoe is merely part of a line of shoes that bare facial features and has no racial undertones, the brand will remove the products from their retailers. "In order to be respectful and sensitive the team is in the process of pulling the shoes," the source said.

Perry now joins the ranks of companies like Moncler and Gucci who have been cited for their use of blackface as seasonal fashion. The neglectfulness of her brand also enters her into the drama about blackface that was sparked by leaked pictures of Virginia governor Ralph Northam.
