It doesn't take much for tweets to go viral these days, and as such sometimes it means that some fake information manages to spread just easily as any viral dance craze might. As BuzzFeed reports, recently married couple Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber were the target of a recent tweet that claimed they both had hair lice, with Hailey claiming it was "romantic" they both had it at the same time.

this is it.

Of course, it didn't take long for Twitter to chime in. The Twitter account, which has since gone private and has been revealed to be a Miley Cyrus fan account, disguised itself as Pop Crave, tricking a number of users.

how are ppl taking this troll tweet from a MILEY CYRUS STAN ACCOUNT seriously man cba https://t.co/LqAmNjokfM

Thankfully, some people were smart enough to figure out that the tweet wasn't real, pointing out how the Twitter handle was different than Pop Crave's official account.

So there you have, the hard-hitting reporting regarding hair lice everyone has been waiting for. Judging from all the backlash the fake tweet got, it's not surprising the account is now private.
