Trick Daddy is coming to the defense of fellow Florida native Kodak Black following his interview with Hot 97.

In a new video posted to Instagram, Trick calls out host Ebro for bringing up Kodak’s ongoing sexual assault case, which prompted the 21-year-old to leave the interview.

“Man, what’s up with you police ass n***s,” he says in the video. “Let me tell you radio n***s somethin’. Y’all getting out of line. Ebro, disrespecting the homie. You tried a young n***. Kodak my little n***. If nobody gonna step up, I’m gonna step up. I want smoke.”

The rapper continues by bringing up fellow radio host Charlamagne Tha God, and reminds Ebro that Kodak can’t legally discuss details of his case. “But with your bitch ass, you tryin’ to be a fake ass Charlamagne,” he says. “There’s only one Charlmagne Tha God, p***y. Keep Kodak name out your mouth and stop bringing up shit the little homie cannot talk about on the radio bitch ass n*** and watch your muthafuckin’ mouth. Don’t disrespect no *** from around my way unless you want smoke. Matter of fact, I want smoke bitch ass n***.”

Ebro and his fellow hosts discussed the backlash on Thursday morning’s show, and defended their decision to bring up Kodak’s rape case. Ebro did, however, admit he didn’t plan on the interview going sour.  “I did not want it go that way. I’m not happy it went that way. I feel bad that it went that way, because I felt like I was honestly trying to have a balanced conversation,” Ebro said.

I was tryna have a balanced convo with Kodak Black & not ignore the serious allegations against him but also not ask specifics to make his situation worse... and he wanna get an attitude with me?? Nah....

Kodak is currently facing sexual assault charges for allegedly raping a teenage girlin 2016. His trial for the alleged sexual assault will begin April 2019. If convicted, the rapper faces up to 30 years in prison.
