Big K.R.I.T. has a surprise in store for his fans this Friday: a new two-song EP titled Double Down.

“Learned From Texas,” produced by DJ Khalil and Tariq Beats, is a tribute to the state and to his influences. On the Rico Love-produced “Pick Yourself Up”—which includes samples from Too Short and the Isley Brothers—K.R.I.T. waxes poetic on having a good time.

Double Down arrives after K.R.I.T.’s three-song EP Thrice X, which dropped on Nov. 16. The last studio album we saw from the Mississippi native was 2017’s 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time.
