For the newest edition of the Roll Back Play That playlist series from Solange's Saint Heron, none other than Tyler, the Creator has assembled an eight-track assortment centered around a crucial year in his life: 2004. Rightfully, the curated collection features some Lenny Kravitz in the form of his Baptism single "California."
"This song and 'Where Are We Running' were on 'on demand' for Time Warner at the time," Tyler said. "Since my internet was so slow, I would browse and look at everything available on the platform. One thing about the video that stuck with me was the warm tone of it, which was pretty spot on with Los Angeles between the times of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m."
Tyler also noted that, while Kravitz comes from a different generational perspective than him, he was still able to relate to the presence of backyard parties and skateboarding found in the visual presentation. "There is a video of his dick popping out on stage if you are bored," he added, accurately.
