6ix9ine Enlists Floyd Mayweather's Former Bodyguards for Extra Protection

The new members of 6ix9ine's security team are known as "The Great Wall."

6ix9ine has beefed up his security.

Following a number of alarming incidents, the polarizing rapper has decided to add a couple of new bodyguards to his team. And they apparently have solid references.

According to TMZ, 6ix9ine recruited two of Floyd Mayweather’s former security guards: Big Church (the tallest one in the back) and Big Adam (the one rocking the leather jacket towards the front). Together, the men are fittingly known as “The Great Wall.”

Sources told the outlet that 6ix9ine wanted to change his security detail after a fan rushed him on stage at a recent Moscow concert. Though the concertgoer was ultimately stomped-out by 6ix9ine’s team, the occurrence apparently motivated the “Fefe” rapper to restructure his security. TMZ reports 6ix9ine’s manager Tr3way personally selected Big Church and Big Adam, real names Alfonso Redic and Adam Plant, respectively.

According to insiders, 6ix9ine is now attempting to clean up his act after building a career mired by mounting legal issues and countless rap beefs. TMZ reports he and his team are tightening the rapper’s inner circle and are dedicating more time to his music. It’s noble effort, no doubt, but we have to wonder if it’s a little too late.

6ix9ine will appear in Manhattan court on Friday, when he will face potential prison sentence stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance. New York prosecutors are pushing for a heavy punishment, arguing that the rapper has “failed to mature into the law-abiding adult anticipated by the plea agreement which he signed on October 20, 2015.”
