Kanye and Lil Pump's "I Love It" Video Gets the Memes It Was Made to Inspire

Lil Pump and Kanye rock insanely oversize costumes in the Spike Jonez-executive produced video co-directed by Ye. People on Twitter came through with the memes right on schedule.

As the creative director of the 2018 Pornhub Awards, Kanye West had his hands in pretty much all design aspects of the event. He oversaw the makeup, wardrobes, awards statues, and the music.

During the inaugural event, Kanye lifted the curtain on his and Lil Pump’s collaborative track “I Love It” featuring comedian Adele Givens. The record was accompanied by a Spike Jonez-produced visual directed by Ye and Amanda Adelson that was surreal, futuristic, and, above all, comedic. Kanye and Pump are seen in a hallway reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey, while rocking cartoonish, oversized fits. And we mean oversized. Blocky shirts that span several feet across the shoulders, tonal massive pants, and bulky chains. Kanye also dons a pair of giant Yeezy slides—a reference to the undersized pair he was roasted for last month.

Naturally, the internet had jokes.

Shortly after the “I Love It” visual dropped, fans hit up social media with a few memes inspired by Kanye and Pump’s ridiculous outfits. Many Twitter users said the costumes reminded them of Robolox characters, while others compared the fits to those rocked by George Costanza, artist David Byrne, and Goombas from the Super Mario Bros. film.
