Prosecutors Request DNA From XXXTentacion Murder Suspects

The State of Florida has requested DNA swabs from all four suspects in the June murder of XXXTentacion, who was killed outside a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach.

Prosecutors have requested DNA swabs from all four suspects in the murder of XXXTentacion.

In court documents obtained by Complex, the State of Florida has called for the defendants to be "fingerprinted and swabbed for DNA." Additionally, the documents note, the court may require blood, hair, "and other materials of the defendant's body," so long as such materials don't result in "unreasonable intrusion." The documents were filed this week.

Trayvon Newsome, the fourth suspect in the June 2018 killing, was arrested by Broward County authorities last week. Robert Allen, Dedrick Williams, and Michael Boatwright were previously taken into custody. All four men were indicted by a fort Lauderdale grand jury last month on charges including first-degree murder.

"I urge there be no rush to judgment and caution that people arrested on solid evidence and facing first degree murder charges often try to blame others for the things they did themselves," George E. Reres, Newsome's lawyer, told Complex last week. Newsome later entered a not guilty plea.

Lil Pump, who previously named himself and X among those responsible for starting "the whole SoundCloud rapper shit," paid tribute earlier this week with a new Long Live Jahseh tattoo. "Me, X, Ski Mask, Purpp, Uzi, Yachty," Pump said in a previous Instagram video. "I could keep going. Nobody was being called SoundCloud rappers until we came out."

The domestic abuse charges against X, which included allegations of physical abuse of a pregnant woman, were formally dropped earlier this month. At the time of his death, X was awaiting trial.
