As we enter the final stretch of the summer of 2018, we imagine you're trying to get your last adventures with the squad in. Memorable journeys require quality soundtracks, and today we have what could be the sounds that encapsulate your August excursions, courtesy of L.A.'s own Mija.
For the uninitiated, Mija's been a force to be reckoned with in the music scene for the last four years. I actually remember her making a name for herself in the summer of 2014, after a back-to-back set she spun with Skrillex at Bonnaroo started making the (digital) rounds. She hit the ground running after that, touching down everywhere from Coachella to dates with the Ultra family worldwide. She's considered OWSLA family, collaborating with the likes of Ghastly and Lil Jon, but has sharpened her production chops with a number of acclaimed singles and remixes of DJ Snake, A-Trak, and Massive Attack, among others.
2018 has been beautiful for Mija; she dropped her HOW TO MEASURE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN LOVERS EP in February, will be at Splash House next weekend, is set to take part at this year's Red Bull Music Culture Clash in Atlanta, and will be hitting the road throughout September and October via her Just Enough Club Tour, which begins Sept. 6 in Montreal (check out a full list of dates below).
To get heads hype for that, Mija hit us off with her Mixtape_02 as an exclusive, and it's a trek. She not only drops a number of her own remixes and unreleased heat, but you get vibes from Zed Bias, Nicolas Jaar, the Postal Service, and more.
