Halsey Explains Why She Didn't Attend the 2018 VMAs: 'It Didn’t Feel Right to Go'

The singer-songwriter admitted she didn't show up because none of her videos were nominated: "[..] It didn’t feel right to go."

Wondering why Halsey didn’t attend the 2018 VMAs? Well, you clearly haven’t seen her latest tweets.

On Monday night, the singer-songwriter hit up the platform to explain why she was noticeably absent from this year’s ceremony. No, she didn’t use the typical “sick” or “prior commitments” excuse. Halsey kept it real by admitting she was a no-show because her videos were snubbed.

bc I directed all my own music videos this album just to have @MTV#wcw” me to death and not nominate me for anything so it didn’t feel right to go. I’m happy you guys liked the videos. That’s all that matters to me. 🖤 https://t.co/lprzIrTUHg
