Like many rappers, Post Malone is no stranger to face tattoos. Last month, the “Rockstar” revealed some fresh ink with the word “Always” below his right eye and “Tired” under his left.

The tat made some fans wonder if Posty has a bad case of insomnia, or if there’s something specific he’s always tired of. In an interview with Tim Westwood during Wireless Festival in London, the rapper revealed exactly why he optioned for “always tired” instead of “always getting money" or "always drinking.”

“I tried to do something that’s relatively the same length of letters,” he explained. “I guess 'always' is more letters than 'tired,' but I was tired so I didn’t realize.” Well there you have it folks.

During the interview Post and Westwood also get into the rapper’s obsession with medieval-esque things, hence the claymore sword he has tattooed on his right cheek. He told Westwood he not only had a collection of swords, but bought an entire suit of armor that he can wear for a smooth $1,200. “Whenever I was a little kid, I was like 12, I had a collection of swords and I loved it,” he said before firing off references to Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, and Game of Thrones.

In case anyone was wondering why Post decided to start getting tattoos on his face in the first place: “Anything to piss my mom off.”

Post performed a headlining slot at Wireless Fest this weekend. He will spend the rest of his summer wrapping up his European tour for Beerbongs & Bentleyswith 21 Savage.
