Premiere: Lil Yachty Joins Ocean Park Standoff at a Dive Bar in "If You Were Mine" Video

After an upbeat, acoustic guitar-driven open from the Los Angeles trio, Yachty jumps in with a laid-back flow about escaping to a new life, as he sits posted up inside a dive bar.

Lil Yachty has been praising bands like Coldplay, All Time Low, and Fall Out Boy for years, so it wasn't a huge surprise to see him collaborate on a pop rock song with Ocean Park Standoff in April.

After an acoustic guitar-driven open from the Los Angeles trio, Yachty jumps in with a laid-back flow about escaping to a new life, as he sits posted up inside a dive bar.

"Shooting with Yachty was a great experience and a peek into his world," Ocean Park Standoff said. "He was a super nice guy, that was super late and super prepared. He nailed the shots we needed and stayed until we got what our vision was. He was all smiles and good conversation."

Ocean Park Standoff have had a strong start to their career with the success of singles "Good News" and "If You Were Mine" since forming in 2016. The genre-defying trio is made up of Pete Nappi, Ethan Thompson, and Samantha Ronson.

The video for "If You Were Mine" continues the collaborative mood that Lil Yachty has been in this month. After connecting with Cardi B and Offset on his new song "Who Want the Smoke?," he linked up with Ski Mask the Slump God, Yung Bans, and Murda Beatz on a Fortnite-themed track.

You can watch the premiere of the "If You Were Mine" video above and hear the song on iTunes/Apple Music or Spotify.
