Premiere: Jarren Benton and Hopsin Turn Up at a 60th Birthday Party in "Don't Need You" Video

Jarren Benton links up with his former label boss Hopsin for the lead single from his new Roc Nation-released project "Yuck Fou."

Jarren Benton is in the middle of a comeback of sorts right now. Ever since the dissolution of Hopsin's label Funk Volume, which Benton released his 2013 project My Grandma's Basement on, the rapper has been keeping himself busy, but with his new Kato-produced full-length Yuck Fou he's ready to prove his worth.

Out today, Yuck Fou has received a video for its lead single today with "Don't Need You," which features his former label boss Hopsin. The video sees Benton and Hopsin give their all for a performance at a 60th birthday party. It's just as much fun as it sounds, and it doesn't take long for everyone to turn up big time.

Speaking with us about the video, Benton said, "Me and the director, Jay Ray Diamond, came up with the concept a while back. At the time I felt I didn’t have the right song to execute the idea until 'Don’t Need You.' We actually wanted to make an R-rated version, but decided to scale back a week before production. Nothing but fun and laughter on the set. The whole cast was super laid back and cool to work with. It’s like me and Hopsin never missed a beat."

Yuck Fou is out now via Roc Nation and is available on all streaming platforms. The project features appearances from Jay Park, Evans Desir, and B.o.B, among others.

Benton has also kicked off his Yuck Fou Tour. For more info and ticket purchase, visit here.
