J. Cole Taps Jaden Smith for KOD Tour With Young Thug

J. Cole's KOD Tour is looking even more stacked, with Jaden Smith and Earthgang joining Young Thug as openers. The tour runs for two months, from Aug. 9 in Miami through Oct. 10 in Boston.

Back in May, J. Cole announced he'd support his album KOD with an extensive North American tour kicking off in August. Even better, he'll be joined by Young Thug for the entire run. With the KOD Tour launching in less than two weeks, Cole has tapped two more acts: Jaden Smith and Atlanta duo EarthGang.

Thug has been uncharacteristically quiet so far this year, putting out his most recent EP Hear No Evil in April. Jaden, meanwhile, recently shared the follow-up to his 2017 debut album Syre with Syre: The Electric Album, which he debuted on Instagram. He's aiming to release his second full-length album, tentatively titled Erys, sometime next year.

Cole also mentioned his alter-ego kiLL edward in the announcement, so it's unclear if he'll perform sets under that alias before taking the stage as headliner. Cole revealed the alias on KOD, prompting fans to investigate the first human being to feature on a Cole album since 2013, the path leading straight back to Jermaine.

The KOD Tour runs from Aug. 9 in Miami through Oct. 10 with a final show in Boston. Tickets can be purchased here.
