G Herbo and Southside's Collaborative Album 'Swervo' Is Here

The highly anticipated project spans 14 tracks, and includes assists by 21 Savage, Young Thug, Juice WRLD, and Chief Keef.

G Herbo is embracing his cocky side with the help of Atlanta super-producer Southside.

On Thursday night, the frequent collaborators finally blessed fans with their joint album Swervo, named after Herbo’s braggadocios alter ego. The Chicago rapper began teasing the project more than a year ago, but didn’t confirm its release until last month. Since then, Herbo and Southside have dropped a number of singles off the long-awaited LP, including the title track, “Some Nights,” and the popular “Who Run It.”

During a recent appearance on Everyday Struggle, Herbo spoke about the 14-track project and what it was like working with Southside.

“It’s different, but it felt so good and natural, just ‘cause me and Southside got a relationship [that’s tight],” he said. “He brings another side of artistry out that I can’t probably touch on my own […] He made me do that party, turn-it-up shit. He saw that in my early on, like, ‘You need to be able to do this, too. It’s the only way you’ll be able to capture the world.’ […] I’m always up for a challenge, so I’m gonna do it, however it come out. It just so happens that it came out good every time.”

Swervo, produced entirely by Southside, is available now on Apple Music/iTunes, as well as Spotify. The project includes appearances by Young Thug, Juice WRLD, 21 Savage, and more.
