'Everything Is Love' Ad Shows Up Above Red Lobster in Best "Formation" Reference Ever

Fans are already calling the move, which references her 2016 'Lemonade' track "Formation," marketing genius. After seeing how obvious the placement is, we're inclined to agree.

The Carters, better known as JAY-Z and Beyoncé, released their highly-anticipated collaborative album Everything Is Love last month to the delight of pretty much everyone.

The surprise release of the album caught fans off-guard, and listeners were treated to yet another stellar big name album during a month already full of huge name releases. Now the marketing push for the album has started, and from the looks of a billboard recently erected in Times Square, it's off to an incredible start.

On her Lemonade track "Formation," released in 2016, Beyoncé famously rapped, "When he f**k me good I take his ass to Red Lobster, cause I slay." The now iconic line has finally reached its logical endpoint, because someone from the married couple's marketing team has outdone themselves with a billboard placement near a Red Lobster in Times Square, New York City. As far as ways to advertise new albums go, this might be one of the best.

Not too long after the release of the Lemonade single, it was reported that Red Lobster saw a huge increase of over 33 percent in sales following the name-drop on the record. The seafood restaurant was mentioned over 42,000 times on Twitter and was even a trending topic for the first time, proving once again the power of Bey. Seeing the couple situated on a billboard right above Red Lobster has the line coming full circle in the best way.
