Vic Mensa Teases 'Really Dope Records' With Chance the Rapper

Vic Mensa also revealed that he and Chance have a collab with G.O.O.D. Music's Valee already in the bag. This summer, Mensa is expected to drop a fleet of new tracks.

Vic Mensa has some presumably 🔥new music in the bag with Chance the Rapper.

"That's my brother through and through," Mensa told Ebro Darden on Beats 1 Monday. "There was times when me and Chano ain't have bus fare and the Milwaukee Ave. bus ain't running, so we sleeping sideways in somebody's abandoned car. I've been through a lot of shit with Chance. Brothers fight, [but] that's been over with for some time now."

Asked about the possibility of releasing a new collab record with Chance in the future, Mensa teased what the two already have in the bag. "Oh, 100 percent," he said. "We been in the studio plenty of times. We got a couple of really dope records, actually. There was a record that me, Chance, and Valee did at one of my cribs in Chicago."

Mensa also gave Darden his thoughts on Kanye West's disappointing public embrace of MAGAism, noting the "mess" West has made while conceding that the music is still strong. "To hear him tell complete untruths in this situation was definitely frustrating, and is frustrating," he said.

New music from Mensa was also teased on the latest episode of Complex's own Open Late, hosted by Peter Rosenberg. "I got a studio in the crib right now in L.A., and I've just been locked in, really just honing in on the message," Mensa told Rosenberg last week. Catch the full episode here.
