A woman who claims she was repeatedly raped at Chris Brown’s house has filed a lawsuit against the singer for his connection to the alleged assault. The numerous allegations include assault, sexual battery, gender violence, hate violence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to TMZ, the victim—referred to as Jane Doe—says she met Brown and his friend Lowell Grissom, aka rapper Young Lo, at a nightclub in February 2017, where the two men invited her to an afterparty at Brown’s recording studio. She was asked to hand over her phone, and the party moved to Brown’s residence, where the artist allegedly waved a gun in the air and passed out cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy to the women guests. Jane did not partake.

Though the plaintiff had surrendered her phone, her mother was able to track her location with GPS. She notified police, who arrived at Brown’s house during the party, but not before Brown allegedly instructed Grissom to hide a duffle bag containing firearms. Once police left the house, the party continued.

Later in the night, Jane says one of Brown and Grissom’s female friends told her and other women to hook up with the men inside one of the bedrooms. Jane says Brown ordered Grissom to push a couch in front of the room’s door so no one could easily escape, and that Brown played pornography "to create a hyper-sexualized environment in the sealed bedroom.”

This is when the first instance of sexual assault is said to have occurred. Per TMZ, and with a strong trigger warning for sexual assault:

[Jane] says she tried to leave but Chris’ female friend grabbed her by the throat and forced her to perform oral sex on Grissom. Doe says the female friend pushed her down on the bed and “literally sat on [her] face, using her legs to pin [her] down while forcing [her] to perform oral sex on her.”

The victim said the woman was menstruating at the time, and the victim reportedly was able to take a shower afterward. Shortly after she began to bathe, Grissom allegedly walked into the bathroom, forced her onto a bed, and raped her. Jane said Grissom raped her again as she was waiting for a ride. According to TMZ, the victim sought medical treatment for the assault and reported it to police.

Jane is being represented by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred. You can watch portions of Allred's press conference regarding the case below. Per The Blast, she said her client is suing "because she wants justice for herself, but she also wants to warn other young women about the potential danger to themselves if they have their phone taken away and if they go to Chris Brown’s house.”
